you can fix this problem for less than $2.00 yourself if you can solder 4 resistors on a board. I fixed mine about 2 weeks ago myself. There are a few videos on you-tube of how to do it. I followed one and it works great. All i had to have was a resistor pack (5 resistors)from radio shack $1.78. I have a soldering tip and flux. you can get one from harbor freight or a tool store...walmart cheap. give it a try i saved over 300 dollars doing it myself.

No. I just had the same problem and had to have the whole speedometer head replaced. It cost me 650.00 dollars.
