Hello, I’m Pete from the Car Genius team at RepairPal. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this concern on your Buick Century. Fault code 26 is for one of the quad driver modules inside the ECM itself, your ECM has a few of these. These modules monitor and operate various engine sensors and electronics. When this code sets this indicates that there is either an internal ECM failure to where the driver module is no longer operational or that one of the sensors or electronics on that driver circuit is shorting out causing the entire driver to go down. What will need to be done is to have some extensive electrical testing performed to identify if one of the sensors/electronics is failing and needs to be replaced or if there is an internal driver fault. This can cause poor running in most cases. This testing is usually best to have performed by a reputable repair facility that has the correct tools and knowledge to perform the testing needed.
