Hello, sounds like you are having an issue where the battery was so dead that the engine's computer also lost any capability of knowing how to run properly. The "adaptive strategy" will need to be set by running and operating the vehicle. But before you do that, you need to have a known good and fully charged battery in the vehicle so that all electronic components including the engine's computer can run properly.
