What is your question?
My BMW is having an oil and coolant leakage, needs gasket and engine thermostat replaced. Where would you take it for the best service and price?

First, try the estimator at the top of the page for your area. Then, call shops in your area you know. Stay away from dealerships if possible they are always the most expensive. Avoid any shop that looks like it is being run out of a few garage stalls. You can't trust them. Anyplace that has been in business for an extended period of time will not be going anywhere and will usually do the job right! Always get an estimate up front! Almost sounds like a head gasket issue......
It has to be looked at to properly diagnose these leaks. We clean the engine with mineral spirits and add UV dye to the oil system(s) in question, drive the car for two or three miles and then we can localize and quantify the severity of the leak(s). Have someone who knows your vehicle look at it - there are some very common sources. You should take this very sophisticated, technologically advanced piece of engineering beauty to a trained BMW Specialist (a specialist is someone who only works on one make of vehicle). There are many qualified independent, as well as dealer choices out there. Remember, there is no such thing as a Euro Specialist, or a Japanese Specialist, or a Domestic Specialist, or even a German Auto Specialist - the term would be an oxymoron. A German Auto Specialist would have to be proficient in seven different makes - this is not possible anymore "Jack of all trades, master of none". You can look up an excellent BMW shop by going to the BIMRS web directory (non-profit) at bimrs.org
