How long does it take to remove the transmission on my 2002 3.0l c5 e53 BMW?

Hello, I show 7.5 hours, and that is literally just for unbolting the transmission and placing a new transmission it it's place. You still have to programming and updates, replacing the rear main seal on the engine, and whatever miscellaneous things that may pop up. Now, that doesn't mean that you can't find a shop who charges fewer hours of labor. Many shops use different guides, and some shops will cut you a deal. Just be sure you go with someone who is ASE certified, can reprogram your vehicle when done, and has the technology to do so.
