Drivers side door will not unlock with key. Will still lock & unlock from inside

Just had new battery installed. Prior to new battery, I was able to unlock drivers side door but not able to lock from the outside. The dash lock button will lock all doors once I’m inside. Since new battery installed, the key will not lock or unlock drivers door. But from the inside button, all doors lock.

Hello, does the key turn in the lock cylinder both ways? Or does it not turn at all?
If the key turns as proper but the door does not lock or unlock, then there may be an issue with the key cylinder to the door lock actuator and the link between them.
If the key does not turn, then the lock cylinder itself or the key itself is of concern.

Sounds like the door panel will need to be removed, yes. And check with the shops you try to find out a quote. That’s a good way to start figuring out if you want to take a car somewhere or not. Good luck.
