There might be a charging system issue due to a failed alternator. The other problem is, these batteries has to be registered / programmed to the car, otherwise the alternator won't "see" it correctly and the intelligent charging system won't provide a full charge, trying to prevent the battery from overheating. I'd suggest to take your car to a BMW specialty shop who can register the battery to the car first, than perform a charging system test to make sure the alternator works correctly. Zee
