What is your question?
I just had the 60 mile service done at 62K miles I'm only at 63K miles and its asking me to add 1qt of oil. Does it burn off that fast? I do not have any leaks I can see.

Hello, the specified oil for this engine is a BMW high performance full synthetic 0W40 engine oil. If not getting genuine BMW oil, make sure it is 0W40 and fully synthetic. Regarding engine oil burning, yes, some engines can burn up to a quart of oil every 1,000 miles and be considered "normal". I would advise filling the oil as required and monitoring, consulting your local BMW dealer if you are using more than that quart every 1,000 miles. Alternatively, it's not a bad idea to consult a service consultant at a BMW dealership anyway, in the event they have prudent advice for your particular engine and scenario. Good luck!
Use only Castrol all synthetic. The reason it's burning so much oil is that the little seals are letting it blow past.. It's a $5500 repair, mostly labor. Immediately check with your dealer to see if it's under warranty bc it's a warranty fix for free.
