I have a warning "engine on reduced power" and the engine icon. what problem?

Hello, there is no way of knowing what is wrong until you have testing performed. Diagnostic testing will show what trouble codes have been set as clues to illustrate what is failing on the vehicle. Without testing, it's impossible to guess if you have a transmission problem or engine performance issue or both.
