Can the tensioner guide be changed if thats all that seems to be broken

Replacing the timing chains and tensioners requires special tools and is over 35 hours work. I believe at least some of the chain tensioners are easy to replace and are external t the timing cover. Get the opinion of someone very familiar with that engine ans see what by their experience they would suggest replacing.
