i have two codes one is p0720-output speed sensor circuit malfunction,and the other is p0731- gear 1 incorrect ratio. how can i fix these problems

these are both internal transmission codes. no magic wand; you will need someone very familiar with this tranny to open it up. get ready to rebuild it.

im having some what of the same problem as my 318i 96 4dr has code po720 i have replaced the output sensor and still shows code ? is it the transmission control unit bad ? i really hope so what else could it be>?
