Sometimes when i start my car up she will start but like after two seconds it will cut off. i would have to start it up about two to three times before its able to drive without cutting off. does this sound lik the camshaft sensor or something else???

Sounds to me more like an Idle Air Control problem, but a diagnosis will 100% have to be performed. We charge about 100$, the range is 75-150 for a BMW usually. MAKE SURE YOU GET A PRO!!!
sounds like a camshaft position sensor, the car cannot pick up the proper timing you can find it at your local auto parts store I think it was $140 and my car instantly ran correctly the cam positioning sensor even caused my cruise control not to work you can put it in yourself in 20min
I'm having the exact same issue with my 1998 740 IL I want to AutoZone have them check the code that was in the computer and it was P0340 which is cam position sensor go buy and put it in don't waste your money on these guys trying of you to tell you what's wrong with it for a fee
