I bought a 1995 bmw 740i and the radio is not working. It turns on but no sound

Hello, I would venture to guess the issue is with the radio, or if there is an external amplifier, I would look there as well. Since the speakers are powered, the radio may not be receiving input, or may not be outputting a signal. The third option is that a sound filter or other device may be interrupting the signal as well.

So I have been doing research on this radio problem for awhile now. My girlfriend's grandfathers 1995 BMW 740i has had the same problem for years. The research that I have done on other BMW radio problems has just been that the radio module is shot... Meaning that the radio module is not working and not receiving any power at all. There is this wire on Amazon that people are ordering to loop radio wire so that it will work. I'm going to try this solution in a few weeks once the wire comes in. Basically your radio problem can just be that your radio module is not working.
