Transmission says malfunction and won’t switch gears

If I’m driving the car some times it jerks and won’t switch gears and it says reduce speed and it seems like it stays in gear longer
What makes this problem better or worse?
Turning the car off and back on

Hello, there is no "trick" to share that can help. Your BMW will require hands on diagnostic testing to find out what is happening to the transmission.
