What is your question?
I recently purchased a 06 BMW 550i 8cyl engine. It was a lien sale from a towing yard. They did not have the original key so they paid and had one reprogrammed from a individual perhaps locksmith. The key works to unlock and get into the start mode, engine cranks over but will not start. Codes pulled were A0B4, A0B6 and A114 all coming from the CAS Module. The crank is normal and not unsual. Car was diagnosed at the BMW dealer and was not told anything about these things, however they are insisting to do a leakdown compression test and perhaps removal of cylinder head. They are insisting that it is not the key and is being ruled out because it cranks over. I am lead to believe it is the key in fact. I am needing assisting deciding what to do, buy a new key or have it towed to another shop? 4.5hrs for a leak down compression test at the dealer is quiet extremely expensive. Seems like they just want to go the longer route to get the most of the labor costs here. Thanks for your help

Don't have a leak down compression test done for 4.5 hours. If it's cranking and not starting you need to know if you have fuel and spark, crank signal etc. This could very well be a security issue with the key but a complete diagnosis is needed before you do anything. I suggest getting a second opinion at an independent shop. If you prefer to have a shop take a look, use this link to find a good one near you. https://repairpal.com/repair-shops Alex
