Hey, my name is Dusty and I'm one of the auto experts with RepairPal's Car Genius team here to help! While products like Bar's Leaks can temporarily stop radiator leaks, they're not a permanent solution despite any marketing claims. Given the age of your BMW 540i and the potential for more significant issues, it's advisable to replace the radiator rather than relying on a temporary fix. Radiator leaks can worsen over time and lead to overheating, engine damage, or other issues. Investing in a new radiator will ensure reliable cooling system performance and prevent further problems down the line.
