Check engine light stays on and car shakes uncontrollably. What is wrong with it

What is your question?

All of a sudden my car won't stop shaking. The shaking is worse when stopped. The car sits in the garage mostly and only has 64,000 miles on it. The check engine light stays on. I am not sure what to do with it if I should take it to the dealership since I don't have a regular mechanic? It's a 2007. Also, how long is it drivable for?

first thing to do is take your car to a a shop and have it diagnosed.most probably its coils.When it shakes bad its usually more than one.You can go to any shop they should be able to help you if its a misfire codes.Hope this helps Addis
