My car will not start in the cold. I get all the electrical but no go

Does the engine crank over but just not engage and run or do you just get electrical warning lights on dash to illuminate? If it cranks over does it crank over sufficiently fast enough to support combustion and run the engine.Look at the battery and battery connections make sure they are clean tight and secure and the battery is tested good!
