Supplemental Restraint System is fine, but light won't turn off.

The SRS system needs to be scanned for codes to see that there is no code stored in the safety restraint system computer in your car.If the light is on the air bag will not deploy properly if you are in an accident. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... Alldata is very easy to navigate http://bit.ly/AllData_Repair_Manuals_Online
It might be some remained fault codes after a hard brake or a crash. You need to clear the fault code. Both obd fault code scanner and airbag rest tool can help, such as U480 (you can get information about this scan tool here: http://www.chinasinoy.com/wholesale/u480-obd2-can-bus-code-scanner-obdii-engine-code-reader.html)
The scanner info you said to look at is for OBD2 vehicles, 1997 & newer. This is a 1994 OBD1 equipped car, but I assume the scanners for this year have "clear code" capabilities as well...? Thanks, Dave828
Well, I seem to be getting my question back to me as a reply...! ? ! ? I am aware that codes need to be read and wondered the exact location of the OBD1 hook-up in that year &* make. I visited the website you recommended. Their response:* "Unfortunately, information for BMW is not available to consumers through ALLDATAdiy.com by request of the manufacturer".
