just replaced alternator on my 528xi 2008 started up and ran great took it for a test drive then came home parked it and turned it off went to get my wife and go for a test drive with her and the car was as dead as if it did not even have a battery in it. I cant get into the trunk a it tried all three things, the key in the fob did not open trunk up, jump box under hood on positive and the used the a good ground. and there is no back seat access . Battery is three years old worked as should and started car right up, the new alternator was replaced with a 180 amp same as the old one,,,any ideas would be helpful thank you Ben

Hello, I'm sorry to say that I don't know why you have no electrical power with a jumper box properly attached. Something has been missed somewhere along the way, and it's simply impossible to know without hands on testing. The battery should certainly be tested to ensure it's fully charged and able to take a load. The alternator should be checked to ensure it's working. But all of that requires you to be able to open that trunk or jump start the vehicle. You may need to obtain local assistance from a shop near you. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
