I have a drive train malfunction but no engine light what’s the cause

P0440 deals with the evaporative emissions system - but nothing that willl cause loss of power on hard acceleration. It is also not a "drive train" related code. There must be something going on with the transmission likely too set a "drive train malfunction" indicator.
