I am experiencing an overheating problem.

It could be a low level of engine coolant. Use caution, review the owner's manual for the safe procedure.

bad water pump--easy replace btw, and/or replace thermostat with a cooler running one and drill 2 3/16 holes in it 180 degrees apart from each other. or someone put stop-leak in it and the radiator is clogged.
