UNLESS your car is the E39 facelift, then simply hold the left cluster button with the car off, then flick on terminal R, first click of the key and continue holding the button until a display of the remaning milage till service due is lit. let go of the button and hold it again, the words "reset" or your milage reading should blink, let go of the button and press it once...DONE
