Can an airbag total my car?

I didn't get a good look , but I'd have to say yes , the cost of repair may exceed the cars current value. OR maybe an insurance adjuster and body shop may have a different opinion?..............................Try them yet???....At LEAST 35 MPH to get airbag deployed...I can't imagine it being 'very little exterior damage'!
