Nothing unfortunately, at this point, as your car has entered trans fail safe, it has logged a fault and no progress should be made until checking these faults. Things that can cause this are oil level/quality or a faulty trans, trans wiring are normally pretty reliable in BMWs You can have the faults checked by your nearest bmw dealer or mechanic, found in the "find a shop tab"

hi my name is sean im having same with trans program i was told the altinator was causing is so i had it replace worked good for 2 months same thing .if you find out the problem can you email me jrmcs1982@gmail.com it auto goes into the gears so you dont blow your tranny its a safety feature but in manual it says bring to local dealer .but i wanna fix it myself.so if u can help me with some info i would be greatful thanks
