What is your question?

no problem no noise a orange square triangle came on the dash to tell me need pads in 800 miles and lite went off computer is smart. Let me no before my pads got low and scraped the calipers.

What makes this problem better or worse?

no problem wanted to get a idea how much pads would cost

Yeah - that’s a pretty cool feature - it’s been around for many many years!

It is predominantly used on European vehicles. There is a wear sensor located at each brake pad - as the pads wear down to a certain point - it touches the brake rotor and provides a ground circuit for that light you see. Many other vehicle use a metal ‘squeaker’ tab that will let the ya know the brakes need to be serviced.
