After a drive when I park the car, engine turned off and open the trunk I hear a fan / motor sound from behind the driver side brake light. What could this sound be?

Does your vehicle have navigation ? Some BMW has nav unit in trunk. If not draining battery I wouldn't worry about it. Send me your vin#

This is the DMTL pump running for emmissions. No cause for concern
