yes the pads can be replaced. there's all kinds of you tube threads on how to do it. it's easy. and if the sensor, brake pad sensor, hasn't triggered yet, your rotors are fine. just replace the pads. $44.00 for a rear set online. $450?????????????Jesus H. Christ!
