outside electric mirrors are out of synch. they open all the way every time door

BMW folding mirrors sometimes have sensors in them that go bad mostly from damage. One side being off will cause the other not to work properly. Really the only way to fix them is to replace the mirror assembly of the affected side. You'll have to see the dealership or have a qualified mechanic diagnose it to determine the exact cause.
