328I shredded belt sucked in engine

What is your question?

Took car into shop for a shredded belt being sucked into engine, recommending I change the timing belt and guides the usual parts that go along with repair, they recommended changing my camshaft sprocket Im just wondering if this is common online it looks like people replace timing chain and clean engine out.

A 2013 BMW 328i has a timing chain. I'm not sure what your questions are really referring to. Please ask again? There is no timing belt on this vehicle; yes - a drive belt, but not a timing belt.
