What is your question?
When I drive my 328i MT wagon (11k miles), it makes a rhythmic "whoom, whoom" or "whoob whoob" noise almost like a wheel bearing is not lubricated. But the frequency of hte sound is not fast enough to be wheel noise per revolution. The sound frequency does increase and decrease with speed. Any ideas?

So the noise comes from the front or rear? First test: rotate the tires from the front to the back, and see if the noise is fallows the tires, this way you know the cause are one (or more) of the tires. If the noise won't follow the tire(s), take an experienced technician from your local dealership for a test drive with you and let him hear what's going on. I think it will be a tire noise. You should have warranty anyway so the repair should be free. Let us know what happened. Zee
Better have it checked right away. It may be unsafe to drive! It could be a bad tire (tread separation ) or even a loose wheel. I'm sure warranty will cover it.
I have had this happen now twice on my 2006 330i. Being that my car is CPO it is covered. Still a pain in the rear no pun intended... but this time I asked them to figure out the root cause. For my car its the rear right side bearings. The first time it happened or it seemed to happen after putting in new tires. So went to the tire shop and asked them to investigate it. They sent me to the dealer to have them check the bearings. I did this a couple times until finally the dealer found it for themselves. They replaced the bearings and the noise went away.
