Today's sparkplugs are designed to last 100k. If you have the ability to change them yourself, it would be a good idea to do so before you hit 100k. I f you wait until they fail, it will trigger a check engine light and your cost will go up due to the fact that a scan tool and diagnostic time will be added to the expense. Either way....MAKE SURE you put the exact same plug back in (most likely Iridium Type). They may cost $15 to $20 each but they will serve you another 100k miles and prevent false misfires & hesitations.
