What is your question?
Repair shop tells me the front brakes are at 9%. At the same time, they say it's not urgent and can be dealt with on my next scheduled service. What does 9% really mean and how concerned should I be? Thank you.

You probably have over 4mm of pad material remaining and should get you to the next oil change.
Did they give you an exact measurement, like 3mm or 5mm?? Always make sure you get the inner & outer brake pads measured.
They said they can't measure breaks without taking 'everything' off and the 9% was a computer generated estimate.
The inertia switch is not tripped. I would think my next step is to replace the fuel filter.
