what kind of power steering fluid do i use

ATF fluid. Read the back of the bottle to make sure that it lists BMW as one of the makes for use in the power steering reservior.

can use dexronII mercon. i used sed it over and still going strongafter 10,000 miles. power steering and transmission are commomn problems on the e46 models!
