I need to change the water pump (should be a simple task)but I am having difficulty getting the fan shroud off. Any suggestions?

must remove fan. this requires the fan clutch holding tool and a 1.25" open end wrench. LEFT HANDED THREAD for the nut btw. ebay or any bmw supply place has the holding tool. local auto stores do no. i made mine, you could too.
