Their is under neath damage

If it's at start up, it's possible the secondary air pump, which assists in fireing up the engine, may be failing. It makes a turbine-like sound when it starts, but eventually stops after a couple of minutes. It is related to the emissions control system. You may get some emissions engine trouble codes. It's not a big deal unless you live in an emissions regulated state (California). It is annoying tho!
