What is your question?
I have a 2003 e46 and I want to get it started but am a bit nervous about damaging anything, as this car holds sacramental value to me. I already siphoned the gas from the tank after hearing stale gas could occur from the sitting. Should I also get an oil change before I start (like drain old) or start with the old oil and then change? I also have Mobil1 oil that sat in my trunk for a couple years that looks like it is in good condition. Also what should I do after a start, and look out for? I just want help so I can minimize damage and do what is less risky.

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. I would recommend changing the engine oil and filter. In addition to the things that you've already done. I would recommend using fresh oil. Sometimes people remove spark plugs and inject a little bit of oil into the cylinders. I'm not sure that's entirely necessary. If the vehicle and engine is in proper, running order, lubrication should happen as needed when cranking the engine.
