What is your question?
I hit a relatively small bump and the front passenger side strut went down through the bracket on the steering knuckle which caused the strut and spring to be pushed into the tire almost causing a blow out if I didn’t pull over. The dealership is saying this is a fail safe in the design of the car so the strut won’t go up through the engine or cause any other damage above but I can not find anyone else having this issue. Ironically they just worked on wheel hub on that same wheel just before I got the car and within 5 days of driving it this happened.

Hello, "relatively small bump" is definitely subjective. I would agree with the perspective of the dealership, with the possible caveat of not knowing how hard an impact it was, and also not knowing what their repair work may have done to influence the concern, if at all. Might be a good idea to get a second opinion at a shop near you. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
There is no way anyone can predict what will be damaged during an automobile accident. Hitting a ‘’relatively small bump’’ doesn’t normally result in vehicle damage. Good luck !
