The fuel smell has gone away. BMW said it was a loose sensor connection the first time I took it back. I filled tank up again 2 weeks ago the fuel gauge went right to full. Then on the 3rd start gauge went right back to empty with fuel light on. Once in the last 2 weeks it has corrected itself but then right back to empty.
