Can not get it to start it will turn over but reads EPC mechanic told me no compression from cylinder 1 but should still start right?

Hello, don't pay any attention to warning lights if the vehicle will not start. If you have no compression in a cylinder, you cannot expect your engine to start. Further testing is required.
