Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Coolant leaks aren't cool! A coolant leak around the transmission pan is most likely a leak from the coolant crossover pipe. It could also be from the heater core hoses or the rear coolant flange. The coolant flange and crossover pipe are pretty standard culprits, though. Since the leak appears when idling, it suggests a consistent, pressurized source. Inspect these components for leaks or damage. Using a pressure tester will force the coolant out and help you pinpoint the source. If you have any other questions, please call us at 877-913-1554!
