Any reason for a new car's camshaft failed? Did I bought a lemon car?
What is your question?
I just bought a 2017 Audi Q3 PremiumPlus 2.0T quattro, the camshaft failed at around 500 miles and I have to replace it. Could anyone please help me understand why a new car have this kind of mechanic problem? Did I buy a lemon car?

My wife's 2017 Q3 is in the dealer's shop currently and having its camshaft replaced. At 2000 miles the check engine light came on and after some head scratching at the dealer level, they were authorized to replace at corporate level. There are others with the same problem in the 2017 Q3, after reading posts on other forums. Some camshaft problems are reported at only a few hundred miles.
