Just need brake fluid ? Really hope it's that simple.

Yes, that's entirely possible! .. As the brake pads wear down, the brake fluid level also goes down and will turn light on .. Check brake fluid level and if it's low, have brake pad wear checked .. ALL of this was supposed to have been checked at the time of the last annual VA safety inspection, however that could have been some time past by now, I have no idea when that was... You can go ahead and add a little brake fluid if needed but suggest having it checked out by local repair shop... You can use > Reply - feature here, if desired.
Thanks Pushrod. I have added brake fluid. Light is still on. Prior to adding fluid, I checked parking brake functionality. Vehicle would not move with parking brake applied. That's encouraging. That gives me time to have the electric circuit and brake pads checked prior to the next state inspection. Do you operate a repair shop? Either way, please send me a person email or other form of contact. I would love to talk to you further.
