Where is the daytime running light module located?

I am assuming it is located somewhere between the steering column, 2 position actuator and the fuse box, which is on the inside passenger wheel wall. I haven't been able to find ANY pictires or diagrams to indicate where these "control module" clusters are located. Some cars have them in the engine compartment usually close to the windshield, others inside the dash. So ????????? still.
