My car is stuck in park and I lost the manual do you know where I can get one?

When I drove my car home and put it in park, I then tried to put it in reverse and could not move my shifter until I turned the engine off and when I put it back in park again it locked and now it is stuck in park and I do not have a repair diagram or manual for it and there is nothing on the utub, for this this year and model 96 Audi A6 wagon.
