How do I change the Coolant sensor level Indicator in a 3.0 2003 Aud Quattro ? Thank you

Is it low coolant, or temp. Tow different issues. The level sensor should be part of the reservoir in which case just replace the whole unit. It would be better to check the circuit to confirm the problem is in the sensor. If it is low temp, you may need a thermostat which is tucked under the intake manifold. Depending on your mileage it would be a good idea to have the water pump closely inspected for seepage. If it is seeping and you are over a 100K you are due for a timing belt water pump service anyways. It is very important to not fall behind on that service on this engine. Very costly engine to repair if the belt/pump/or tensioner fail. The reservoir can deceiving and may be low enough to trip the light even though it looks normal. Try adding coolant first. If you are still having issues feel free to contact me. I work on these cars all the time.

Thank you I will try that:)That did not work as they do not help with repairs and diagnotics.
Thank you for your response. Just as an FYI my husband is a mechanic and has his own shop but will not work on or does he know Audi's. So I am trying to diagnosis on my own. Just spent $1800 on the computer for the tranny and the shift sensor. UGH. In response to you, I looked up the signal I am receiving. It is the Collant Temp gauge.(The Flag ) But the car is not over heating as it flashes and beeps soon as I start my car cold and the light never goes out. Does this help ?
That could just be the coolant temp sensor. It would need to be monitored while it runs to see what the temp of the engine actually is. Those sensors are quite common. I have also seen cluster problems, and as mentioned earlier there could be a problem with the thermostat although I don't see that causing a problem immediately on start-up. Feel free to call if you have any other questions
Thank you I will have my husband try that. and Yes, the instsrument cluster has been replaced 4 times as my gas gauge also does not work and the attempt to change to cluster as many times as we have also failed. But that is ok, I can deal without a gas gauge. You have been very helpful - Thank you for your assistance. I will call if needed. :)
Your welcome
