I am replacing the steering rack boot on my Audi 100 Avanti 2.3. Any suggestions

Job done, funnily, the Audi dealers here don't list a seal replacement kit for the rack, one specialized tool would be needed to replace the shaft seal but everything else just requires only standard hand tools. Undo the tie rods mounted on the rack, bend back the locking plates with a hammer and screw driver, 19mm spanner and the unit comes away from the rack.Undo the knuckle joint from the steering column to the spline (by the brake pedal) 13mm spanners. Right hand drive vehicles, two 13mm spanner bolts right end of rack, 1 x 13mm spanner left side, rack pulls out, when away from the brake vacuum chamber undo the two hydraulic lines that are flexible, 19mm spanner. Take left front wheel off, wriggle the unit around until the end can be pushed through hole next to the suspension, end down until the opposite end can be pulled out through the engine bay. Whaloo! reverse the procedure once the boot is replaced remembering that every pipe, electrical connection and fitting in the engine bay, is now brittle from age and leaning on them cracks them-bugger!!!!!!
