What is your question?
Last year I replaced both front drive shafts. The moment I left the shop I felt a slight vibration when accelerating from 20-30mph. This issue persists (going uphill: more torque applied makes it worse). Also in general the car is not accelerating as fast as it used to, especially in low rpm. When accelerating at high rpm (pedal to the metal) I will hear an occasional rattle. Thinking these drive shafts were new I doubted they were the problem, but I'm starting to believe they were bad from the get go. I have tried everything else. The engine is not misfiring (all spark plugs and coils have been replaced, scanner shows no results). The air filter has been replaced. The wheels are aligned. Tires, brake discs and pads have been replaced. Belts are in good condition. The clutch feels fine and responsive, and I have tested it (it promptly stalls in 2/3rd gear at 2500rpm with the foot on the brake). I drive a 2009 Acura TSX manual transmission.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Hot weather (it gets less when I turn off the AC), going uphill
How long has your 2009 Acura TSX had this problem?
1 year
Thanks Alex, but can you say that in general it is possible to loose torque or see a lack of acceleration when axles are bad? My car is not necessarily slow, but it is significantly less responsive to the gas pedal than it used to be when I bought it (about a year ago) and it feels less torquey.
