Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! A squealing serpentine belt on your 2006 Acura TL, even after new parts, is like an itch you can’t scratch—it’s maddening! Let’s see what we’re missing. Since you’ve replaced the belt, tensioner, and power steering pump, the noise could stem from one of the remaining pulleys. A failing idler pulley or an accessory like the alternator or A/C compressor might have worn bearings causing misalignment or resistance. Even if a pulley spins freely by hand, it could bind under load, so checking them with the belt off is crucial. Another sneaky culprit? The harmonic balancer (crank pulley). If its rubber damper is deteriorated, it can wobble and make the belt squeal like a stuck pig. Lastly, consider belt alignment. Even a slight misalignment can turn a smooth ride into a squealing symphony. Double-check each pulley’s alignment and spacing with a straight edge.
