when do I need replace my timing belt? I'm at 96,000miles

i am sure they want to do the water pump with it. that is the right way to do it. the price is steep but it is a dealer. we do them for about 800-900. Roy

105,000 miles, I woudn't wait till then. The dealer sells the car but it doesn't mean they are the only ones that can work on it. I would replace the water pump,tensioner and tensioner pulley, idler pulley, cam seals(2) and crank seal (1). In my opinion $1400 is to much. Without looking up the parts and labor I'd say $600 to $800 is more realistic.
